I am using the Firefox UX Nightly from http://people.mozilla.org/~jwein/ux-nightly/. This is not package-manager installed.

My OS is Ubuntu 12.04 64bit. I am having trouble using plugins. I have all my plugins in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, but Firefox does not detect them.

What i'm asking is did you download 64 bit UX or regular 32bit UX. You need 64 bit plugins to run in a 64 bit browser.

I don't think the problem is with the plugins. The package-manager installed Firefox is able to find them without any issues.

The Firefox I was using was indeed a 32-bit one. I've now downloaded the 64-bit one and plugins do work.

Thanks for the help.
