I have loaded Conduit.i com on my computer and it has grabbed Firefox. How do I remove it?

I loaded Conduit.com on my computer (I didn't read the TOS on some "free" games) and it has grabbed Firefox. I have tried to use the MicroSoft Remove Programs program but Conduit laid down a variety of other programs and it's been whack-a-mole trying to remove them.

I also tried to delete and install Firefox and that has not been successful. My opening Google/Mozilla screen has spam ads. How do I remove Conduit and its related programs?

I can tell you how you won't see it, and you do that by changing the home page and the new tabs. To change the home page, go to options, then to the general tab. There should be some options to change your home page. To change the new tab, go to about:config; accept the warning if it's there. In that address bar type in browser.newtab.url. Right click it and then hit modify, and type in the address you want to show up in your new tabs. It won't get rid of it 100%, but you won't see it either. You might have to run some scans to remove all traces of it.

This recently happened to me. At the bottom left corner of the Conduit home page there is a tiny link labeled "restore". I clicked on it and my world was as it was before. Happy camper again.  :)
