I upgraded to Mavericks and now the scoll on my trackpad won't work. It works in Chrome, the finder, or MS suite. Only FF doesn't work.

The question has pretty much all the details. I'm running latest FF and Mvericks and the scroll/backward/forward function in the trackpad doesn't work. I can scroll in any other program, just not FF.

Maybe I spoke too soon. It worked briefly, but when I opened a link in a new tab, scrolling broke. :( Now it won't work in any tab again.

but then if I close and reopen FF, scrolling works again.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

I just updated to 29 and now my trackpad won't work. It's only in Firefox - it works with all other browsers/programs. I tried the preferences, setting solution..it was already set to 'always.' thanks for any assistance.
