firefox freezes and says not responding, nothing has helped
mozillafirefox freezes and a round blue wheel spins around. Script may be running, Mozilla not responding. I have done some of the suggestions but nothing seems to work. I even put in config; and started to delete but did not really know what I was doing. This not responding happens a LOT. I do not know what to do.

Did not help. Just disabled real download plug in, maybe that will help. However did receive message script still running with a very long script name. When I clicked on it, it sent to a page and it was no help. Mozilla keeps going in and out of not responding!

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
I disabled hardware acceleration. I looked for the others but have not found them yet. I do not know if this solved the problem because I have not been on the computer yet. Thank you so very much for the help. I will come back and let you know if this solved the problem THANKS!

Modified
For me, the issue was Xmarks addon. I've used it to migrate my Chrome bookmarks to Firefox. After I've disabled it the issue was gone.
