Downloading FF as Chrome has embedded bugs, so when I import bookmarks to FF should I also import cookies and browsing history, don't want to import the bugs?

The bugs in Chrome are in the form of extensions that won't remove, or come back when I remove them. General advice is to use firefox and dispense with Chrome which I'm happy to do. Just don't want the bugs coming in from chrome though.

hello Lugano, importing your cookies or history from chrome to firefox won't cause those kind of troubles. the symptoms as you have described them might also be a sign of adware/malware active on your system - please run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner.

thanks a lot Philipp - I have run Malawarebytes, Avast AV, Spybot, and done a System Restore but they have come back and I know it's one of the extensions in Chrome which is Deal4Me which won't go, and another one DocsViewer which is installed by enterprise policy - neither of which I can disable. The malware is only with Chrome, not IE. But I want another browser and everyone says FF so now I can install it gladly.
