I need to delete old email addresses from Personal Addresses and Collected Addresses address books. What does not work (permanent deletion; addresses not back again when Thunderbird is opened later): 1.) right-click & delete; 2.) write a new email...list of addresses comes up on left pane...right-click and delete the email address; 3.) anything else that has been suggested in online discussion forums regarding this EXACT, SPECIFIC problem...with THUNDERBIRD. I am running the 24.4.0 release version. Once again, how to permanently delete unwanted email addresses (from an address book, "autocomplete cache", etc - you pick). Thank you.
