Sync performed, but not visible in FF on Samsung Galaxy S4
Hi, I have the following problem and would be happy if someone could help me out. I run Firefox 30.0 on my Windows 7 PC and have set up Sync for it. For my Android smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy S4, I downloaded the Firefox for Android today and did set up sync as well.
Here are my two problems:
- The browser as well as the account settings of the phone tell me that the sync happened fine, just this morning as I asked it to. Nevertheless I can't see none of the synced data in Firefox for Android.
- If I try to "sync a pair a new device" on my PC, I only get the empty code mask. If I follow the "show me how" link, I see that I should be able to call up the code on my smartphone. That doesn't work, since the phone seems to be successsfully linked already.
I did restart Firefox on my desktop and then even restarted my PC: I also restarted Firefox for Android and then restarted even my smartphone - to no avail. How could I solve this problem? What did I get wrong here? Thanks for your help!

Hi nycswashbuckler, There is a new Firefox sync that launched with version 29. Currently that version of sync does not sync with Firefox versions older than this, so both devices need to be on version 29 or above.
Potentially the mobile device is on a later version of Sync than your desktop. "sync a pair a new device" is part of the old version.
In order to sync the two devices unlinking the devices from the current sync account and creating a new one would be the next steps. Please also make a back up of your profile before you start. Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more
- Make a copy of the old profile folder. Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data and keep a copy of this file on the desktop.
- Install version 30 http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/and a new sync account .Sync your Firefox bookmarks, history, passwords and more
- Create a new profile and copy the old data to the new folder. Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
All set. If you have any questions, happy to help.
