Valittu ratkaisu

I'm not sure what Firefox has to do with email...

In Thunderbird, if you compose using HTML and use Insert|Image, the appearance tab appears to offer text wrapping options.

If you can't see the Menu Bar, hold down alt, press v and under Toolbars tick the Menu Bar checkbox.

I've never used these wrapping options myself, so I can't speak for how well they might work.

Thanks Zenos. You set me off in the right direction. A little different road map fot Thunderbird in Linux Mint 17. Format/image properties/appearance then align text however you want.
