I am migrating Thunderbird mail files from an old computer. I created a new profile called Old Files, and I moved the contents of the old profile directory to the newly created "xxxxxxxxx.Old Files" profile. When I open Thunderbird, it prompts me to choose which profile, and I select the Old Files profile. So far so good. However, there is no Inbox or Sent folder. It makes no sense because in Windows Explorer I can see the Inbox and Sent files in the Old Files folder, and they are the correct size. Why isn't Thunderbird displaying my old email files?

delete the foldertree.json and panacea.dat file and then start Thunderbird. They cache interface components to make startup faster. Removing them might prompt an interface update.

Still no inbox or sent folder appeared after deleting those files and restarting Thunderbird.
