I'm retired and am not using an email account. But I can't find instructions about how to remove the account from the listing (on the left side of the screen) in Thunderbird, where accounts are listed.

Valittu ratkaisu

Right click the account in the Folder Pane on the left side. Select Settings Select the account At the very bottom of the Folder Pane is Account Actions and Remove Account is there.

Be aware that removing the account will remove all messages associated with that account. If there are messages you want to keep you should make a folder under Local Folders and move those messages to that folder before the account removal.
