Sir's When i imported my Outook CSV file into thunderbird the list was not the same as what I had exported. I then went into hunderbird and exported the contact list into another CSV file and compared them. Boy were they different!!! What can I do to bring my contacts list from windows live mal or outlook mail into Thunderbird and have it look like whats in windows live mail and outlook mail. Please help.

I'd suggest you go back to your original CSV file, open it in a spreadsheet and re-arrange the columns to suit the list given here:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Import_address_list_from_text_file

You won't get a perfect match and may have to make some judgement calls about which columns correspond with which. Also bear in mind that Thunderbird only(!) imports the first 37 columns.

The only value I can see from the process you have followed out is that it will provide you with a list of the columns that Thunderbird's Address Book makes use of.
