I used to access my email through Thunderbird. In February 2016, we switched domain hosts from IPage to Wix, and our email is through google mail services. A week or so ago, our computers were attacked and encrypted with ransomware, requiring us to wipeout our computers and reformat. Unfortunately, upon doing so, my thunderbird account was wiped out. I need to find an email from October 2015. IPage tried to help, but for some reason, its server only showed emails from Jan 29, 2016 through February 16, 2016. Anybody have any idea how I can access my old emails which I used to access through thunderbird? Thank you.

There is a reason computer professionals have recommended backups to a largely resistant user base for the past three or more decades.

Thunderbird either stores your data exclusively on your hard disk (POP) or a synchronized copy of what is on the server (IMAP). As you provider does not have the data I must assume you were using POP. So the only records are in your personal backups that you created, or on your encrypted hard disk.
