After Firefox 61 gmail delete shortcut (#) no longer works (UK keyboard, W10, only FF, inc incognito)
Hi folks, judging from Google Forums I'm not the only one experiencing this in the last few days since FF61 was rolled out (though couldn't find any mention in these support forums). Since the FF61 update I can no longer delete emails in gmail using the # key in FF while on UK keyboard layout. It also does not work in FF incognito. However, all other common shortcuts work in FF, # does work in Chrome, and if I change to US keyboard layout and press Shift+3 in FF that works.
I assume this is just a bug, so I've submitted a bug report too. But if anyone's worked out a solution I'd love to hear it.
Cheers

Seems it's something that Google has changed. They've been notified, and now we're just waiting to see if they'll fix it their end.
Thanks for the workaround Anthony. Another (particularly weird) one is that you can press ' (to bring up Quick Find), Esc (to close the Quick Find search box) and then # works to delete. Once. So you need all 3 key strokes each time. I'm now training myself to do that quickly and smoothly and I think it's slightly better than switching to US keyboard layout and pressing Shift+3, or using my trackpad like a pleb.

Hi Spaceboy
There is another open question about this very problem, opened a couple of hours before your! It seems it is 'bugging' many of us; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1224114
I'm afraid I don't have a solution but a workaround that I'm using in the mean time is to use the Gmail lab Custom keyboard shortcuts. Using this lab it is possible to assign an alternative key to "delete".
