Mozilla insists I link my phone to mac, I've gone through the setup five times but it keeps saying i need to complete the set up, so i now can't use mozilla
I forgot my password so I reset it. The mozilla said I HAD to link my phone so I typed in my number clicked the link that i received on my phone, installed mozilla on my phone, went back to my mac and the screen says enter phone number to complete set up. So i enter my phone number get a new text (the app is now already on my phone) do i click open and it's fine. I close the tabs on my mac open mozilla and it says please enter phone no to complete set up. It's an endless loop and now i can't use mozilla on my mac which is what i wanted in the first place NOT on my phone, also very annoyed that it insists I have mozilla on my phone. Surely that should be my choice!! Anyway I'm now very frustrated and annoyed and I can't find a way out of this loop which also pisses me off

You don't need Firefox on a phone in order to merely use Firefox on a Mac computer. That message refers to entering a mobile phone number so that you can Synchronize Firefox on both the phone and the desktop / laptop device; it's not mandatory.
You can check that those pages aren't set as multiple homepages.
You can check the homepage setting.
- Options/Preferences -> Home: Home
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-set-the-home-page
Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
It's the every time I try and open a firefox page (mac) I get the log in screen. Then I log in and get the verify with a phone number sent to my phone. I've gone into the settings and my phone isn't listed as a device. Thank you all for your help.. It is driving me crazy
The page that shows in the first screenshot shows are you have finished the Sync setup and are connected (This Firefox is connected). You can close this window if you do not have another device that you might connect to this Sync account. You can check "Options/Preferences -> Firefox Account" or click the "Firefox Account" button on the Navigation Toolbar.
Hi thank you. The problem is I close that window. The next time I open firefox I have to log in again (second screen) and as soon as I've done that the first screenshot pops up again... I can't get it to stop defaulting to the screen in the first screen shot.. Nor can I get it to remember me..
