Trying to paste a link in email shows as plain text in Firefox, but shows as link in IE. What setting needs to be changed?

When using Yahoo mail in IE, pasting a link shows as a link, but shows as plain text in Firefox. (YES, I know how to convert it to a hyperlink, but should not be necessary since it is automatic with IE.)

Such a conversion is done via a script that usually only works in IE and not in other browsers, so in Firefox you need to use the toolbar button to create a hyperlink.

Is there any Firefox extension or Greasemonkey script that can give FF the same functionality as IE on this?

Using that button to create each clickable link manually seems a bad workaround; sometimes I paste long lists of links in emails... I imagine I'm not the only one who ever does multiple links.
