How to stop my SalesForce task reminders from popping-up fullsize and kicking me out of what I'm doing

I have Firefox 3.6 and use SalesForce for work. I'll be in the middle of typing an email and a task reminder will pop-up full screen size and I have to stop what I'm doing to X out of the reminder screen to go back to typing my email. I set a lot of task reminders so this is really an annoying issue. Is there a resolution to this?

Alternatively, can my SalesForce task reminders be emailed to me instead? Thanks!

How is SalesForce related to Firefox? That's not a standard feature in Firefox.
Is that some kind extension that you installed in Firefox?

Firefox is the browser I use to open SalesForce. Thanks for your reply.

That really isn't a Firefox support issue. You would have to check with SalesForce to see about a resolution to those popups interrupting your work or how to convert those reminders to email.

Actually, Salesforce told me it was a Firefox problem (the pop-ups opening full screen and interrupting my work).

Converting the pop-ups to emails would be a Salesforce issue and I probably shouldn't have mentioned it, originally.

Thanks, again.

Sorry, I don't know what to say about SalesForce saying it is a Firefox problem. Firefox has a very effective pop-up blocker. If you allow pop-ups for that domain, Firefox is going to allow those pop-ups regardless of whether they are interrupting what you are doing or not.
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Pop-up+blocker

As far as them opening full screen, the way that the pop-up window is coded determines its size and postition (maximized or partial screen size with a specific location on the screen, and whether it has suppressed any or all of the toolbars, to give the "full screen" appearance).

That is why I recommended asking SalesForce about suppressing those particular pop-ups.

Now, if you didn't specifically "allow" pop-ups for that domain, those pop-ups might be getting through the pop-up blocker with something that you or SalesForce installed on your PC or in Firefox. It might be acting like Malware by getting around the Firefox pop-up blocker.

Speculation on your problem:
Or maybe those aren't "traditional" pop-ups. There's a fairly new "system" for delivering advertisements called OptMD (which can be controlled by "Opt Out") that Firefox doesn't block with the pop-up blocker. The biggest user of that service is Netflix. Maybe SalesForce is using similar code similar to what OptMD uses?

I think you missed the point I made in my initial post - these are pop-up task reminders. I want them to pop-up to remind me to do things. HOWEVER:

I don't want them to pop-up full-screen and boot me out of what I am doing

SalesForce says this is a Firefox issue.
