I followed a previous discussion which said you can import bookmarks to Firefox. I've transferred all my info and documents from my old Mac and now want to pick up the bookmarks and import it into the new Mac.

1. From the Library window - choose Import HTML>From a HTML File 2. Then navigate to: Library>Application Support>Firefox>Profiles>Default Folder>places.sqlite

But I find that the places.sqlite is greyed out and so I'm unable to import my bookmarks, can anyone help with this?

Thanks in advance!

If you are importing from an HTML file, in step 2 you need to select the HTML file that you want to import, not places.sqlite

If you want to set up your current computer with the exact same bookmarks that were on your old computer, you can copy the places.sqlite file from your old profile and place it in your current profile, replacing the on e that is already there. You can copy more than just the bookmarks, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Recovering+important+data+from+an+old+profile
