My browser has been invaded by http://www.searchqu.com/. I have uninstalled the related toolbar. When I start the Firefox browser the first tab starts in my home page as defined in Options. All subsequent tabs default to the searchqu address on opening. If I start in Safe Mode and “Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults” and “Continue in Safe Mode” the browser work correctly, but if I “Make changes and Restart” the problem remains. I have identified that the problem resides in the Extension DataMngr 1.0 (Data Manager for Firefox). What does this extension do and can I operate satisfactorily without it or can it be replaced.

I also had this issue recently. In fact, I only just solved it now! If you go to Program Files then you should have a folder labelled either Windows iLivid Toolbar or Windows Searchqu Toolbar, or something similar. To solve this issue open the folder and click uninstall and it should go. Also, go to add-ons manager and disable `Searchqu`. This should solve the problem, as it did for me.

i too had this problem. If you remove Ilivid , the seachqu problem disappears. However, sometimes, Ilivid does not come off. In that case, go to C drive, program files, and search for seachqu files and folders and you will find the uninstall there. Uninstall all occurrences of searchqu and the problem wont arise. I have Ilivid still on my computer but the searcqu problem has gone carrying out the above.
