Had multiple tabs open to different sites. Got crashes when sending an email using Yahoo Mail. Mail got sent, but Firefox 4 crashed. Happened twice.

Also noticed several "hangs" after Firefox 4 was opened. This was not an issue with Firefox 3.6.16, and not a current issue with IE 8.

Use McAfee security center. Computer is fully updated with all available patches and updates.

My problem turned out to be my paging file constantly growing beyond the set limits until the out of resources error message pops up. Firefox crashes then. Fix:- open the windows task manager, click on view and then select columns. from here select page faults delta, page faults and virtual memory size. When I did this I noticed that one of my processes was dumping data into my page file causing it to grow constantly. When I googled the process it turned out to be broadcomm wireless managment software that I don't need so I uninstalled it and every thing is fine now.
