I was running into the same problem here. I did some internet searches and found some people reporting this problem after making changes to the Host file. A couple weeks prior to this, I remember tweaking the hosts file to try to solve a problem with my AVG antivirus not updating. Because of those changes I had made (which really was downloading a template Hosts file and using that) - this was also preventing the vids from sites like CBS.com from not playing and displaying that same error message about the ad blocker. Not sure how this works on the Macs, so you'd have to do some additional research there, but after I had reset my Hosts file on my pc, the CBS.com content played without an issue.
