Every time I open a new tab, I want firefox to go to Google's home page http://www.google.com/. Right now when I open a new tab, the tab is blank. Therefore, I have to click on the home icon on the upper right corner - the icon with the little house. How do make firefox go to Google's Home Page every time a open a new tab?

Install this Add-on then in the Add-ons options, set the page you want to open on each new tab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl/

  • Set options for an extension: Add-ons > Extensions, click Options next to the extension.

New Tab Mix should do the trick. It is loaded with many features.

I am a long time Tab Mix Plus user. I know of no option in Tab Mix Plus to open a new tab to a specific page. Can you tell me where that option is in Tab Mix Plus??

Thank you SafeBrowser for the answer to my question. This is exactly what I want Firefox to do. Thank you again

Dear SafeBrowser, It is an eye catching feature of this addon that can be found easily. the image can explain it though

OK, I overlooked, that, but I genereally want just a blank page and will never use that feature. For the purpose of the original poster's question, Tab Mix Plus is a little to "heavy" of an add-on to perform that one function.
