I am using a trial with MS Office 365 which allows several people to share docs. We want each user to be able to amend docs and save the amends on the common document. The Firefox browser only allows a read only version of the file so amends cannot be saved. I understand that Sharepoint.com needs to be nominated as a Trusted site but the browser does not provide for this change.

Hi Dwharrie-

You can manage the permissions for individual websites, but it does not use the same Trusted site functionality that IE has. This Support article details how to do this:

Permissions Manager - Give certain websites the ability to store passwords, set cookies and more

Hope that helps.
