Online vidoes, such as those from the weather channel or utube, will not play on Firefox. They play fine on Internet Explorer, so I assume it is a problem with Firefox.

Flash player is up-to-date, and Firefox is the latest version. However, no videos will play on Firefox. They were working fine until recently. We are in the habit of watching the videos offered on the weather channel, but the screen is black. When I click the play button, nothing happens.

Valittu ratkaisu

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I started Firefox in safe mode, which disabled all my add-ons. To begin troubleshooting, I disabled the first add-on - Ad Blocker - and restarted Firefox. Videos played fine after than. Thanks for the help.
