when i open a tab it always opens as facebook, bbut because im in school and i find facebook a distraction to study i dont want to be automatically directed to facebook, how do i change this?

but, when i open a tab i get automatically directed to facebook, i want to know how can i change it so that when i open a tab either no site comes up or google comes up. its more convenient for google and not a distraction like facebook

Swarnava is right, because when you open a new tab it opens a blank page by default. To set up home page, in new tab, or other page choose one of these add-ons:

NewTabURL add-on

New Tab King add-on

Go to Firefox/Tools-Addon-Extension and check if any extension causing this issue or not
