Everything was working fine until firefox updated, now no videos will load. I tried disabling adblock and clearing my cache that doesn't help. I first noticed this on youtube when the page loaded but the video won't play there is just a blank whit spot. The same thing happens with imbedded videos and on netflix.

This seems to be problem with Flash Player, try reinstalling that.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

Make sure that you allow the plugin-container process in the firewall.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
