Firefox Not Loading Websites After Update
Firefox Has recently stopped working for me after the recent update on my PC and my laptop. I can open it but it wont load any websites. It just keeps loading forever. Sometimes it works for a bit though. But when it gets stuck loading, if I close it I am unable to re-open it and get the following error message: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window" and it never opens. I went to task manager, but am unable to end the process as when I try to, nothing happens. Then I am unable to start Firefox again until I restart my computer. This is happening with 2 of my computers both running Norton Security Suite. Other Browsers are working fine.
Please HELP I feel like I have tried everything but none of the troubleshooting tips have fixed it
Things I have tried already:
1) Reinstalling Firefox 2) Refreshing Firefox 3) Removing Firefox from the list of trusted programs in Firewall and then adding it back again (This was through Norton as it is managing my Windows Firewall) 4) Creating a new profile and using that one instead 5) Starting Firefox in Safe Mode 6) Updating Norton
I have read several troubleshooting guides and nothing seems to be working and I'm starting to get a bit frustrated. Any Help is appreciated. Thanks

hi MastaShake, are those issues continuing when you try firefox 37 beta? https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
See:
Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.
Hey It seems to be working with the beta. Sometimes it worked with the latest update for a while too though, but I'll keep my fingers crossed and just hope that it keeps working. Thanks for the help.
I'm on the beta and the same problem is persisting.
