From firefox my adobe flash player 18.0.0.209 version is upgraded, but when i go to Internet Explorer it asks me to update Flash player to 18.0.0.209?Why again?
I have update Adobe Flash Player plugin to 18.0.0.209 2-3 weeks ago which is working perfectly in Firefox. But when i go to Internet Explorer it gives a message like- 'you must be using a current version of Adobe's Flash Player.' with an option to 'Download latest version of Flash Player'. On clicking this option it directs to a page where it asks me to download Adobe Flash Player 18.0.0.209 version which already exists. What should i do? Is it required to download same version twice for two different browsers? My Explorer version is 10.0.209.

hi diamondcrystal, IE uses its own plugin format & adobe offers different installers for multiple browsers, so flash for IE must be updated separately: https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
IE uses a ActiveX version, not referring to Edge for Win 10, while Chrome comes with a Pepper Flash version and browsers like Firefox and SeaMonkey uses a Plugin based version (NPAPI).

Flash player 18.0.0.209 versions for Windows came out early July 14. So far there has not been a update since yet.
Thank you so much for replying to my query.
So you mean i need to install another flash player, i cannot update my ie with existing flash player in my system?
Hi, if you don't have it, you need ActiveX for IE. You can check in your PC's programs - Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs.
If you need to download it, you can do it here - select ActiveX, and untick/uncheck the McAfee offer.
The better place to download the Flash player for Windows is at https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
So you do not have to worry about getting anything McAfee.
The "Plugin-based browsers" is for browsers like Firefox and SeaMonkey while Internet Explorer is the ActiveX version for well IE.
