Since Firefox updated to 40.0.3, it has blocked the Password manager from Lenovo ( I use a Lenovo notebook). That is a program that I have been using for over 5 years. How do I unblock it? In the Add-ons Manager, this is the message: ThinkVantage Password manager could not not verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled.

Can't you click an Enable button in the extension manager to enable this extension?

  • Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions or the about:addons page

No - there is no Enable button available for this.

Could you take a screenshot of your add-on entry for Password Manager in Firefox?

Here's an example using Bitdefender Wallet. Windows has the Snipping Tool for taking quick screenshots like this (choose PNG for good clarity).

enclosing the screenshot as a .pdf file...hope you can help.

Thanks

Okay, the text is red and not yellow like in my example, and there is definitely no Enable button. This is probably a bigger problem for Firefox than just a missing signature (the cause of my auto-disable, I presume), i.e. the plugin may be considered unstable or a security issue.

Lenovo suggests updating the Client Security Solution in use: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht072264 (last udpated June 2014).
