Google search opens in new Page not new Tab
I don't like new searches in Google Search opening in new PAGE. My previous version had no problem opening anything in a new TAB.. Can I get back to a new Tab?

What do you mean with a 'new page'?
For the Google website you can set preferences on the Google results page via the gear icon in the top right corner, click that button to open the menu list and select Search settings.
Where results open: Open search results in a new browser window.
You can set whether to divert this to a tab or to a window in "Tools > Options > General > Tabs".
"A new Page" means that instead of just a new Tab, a whole new Firefox opens. I don't have the ability to see what else is open or to go back to my Google Search tab, I have to get out of that "page" (or opening of Firefox) in order to get back to where I was before. I used to be able to click on "Open each selected result in a new TAB" which was still in the same "opening" of Firefox (sorry I don't know what to call it). I am going to go back to not using that option any more - I don't like it.
Did you check the setting in "Options/Preferences > General"?
- Tools > Options > General: Tabs:
[X] "Open new windows in a new tab instead"
When I open a new tab by clicking on the "+" sign, I want it to open a new window with Google advance search page. In about:config the browser.newtab.url is set to https://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en but when I open a new tab, it opens to a blank. The setting in "Options/Preferences > General"
Tools > Options > General: Tabs: [X] "Open new windows in a new tab instead" and "don't load tabs until selected" are "X"ed.
This was working fine until recently. I've noticed every once in a while I will come across a website the will open a new blank window and display "about:blank". Sometimes they will close ontheir own others will have to be closed manually.
