cant get thunderbird to start, it crashes immediately generating a crash report, which it has a problem sending. I have the same problem with Firefox, problems started at the same time. My o/s is windows 10. The programmes have worked faultlessly since I upgraded my o/s in August. I can get the crash reports. Where do I post them how many and what format ie dmp.

Try this: See if your anti-virus product is scanning thunderbird when it starts. Suggest you make Thunderbird an exception.

Is the firewall blocking Thunderbird? It must be set to allow.

Hi thanks for your response I have disabled both the anti virus and windows firewall but the problem still persists. I have also checked the firewall exception list and Thunderbird and Firefox are listed as allow.
