Happens with just this one address. He sends me a message. I get it. I reply. My message to him bounces back. This happens over and over again....with just this one individual.

There should be an error message returned with the message telling you why.

Without knowing the error message in the bounced back mailor daemon email, I would guess that his mailbox may be full - used up quota - and therefore cannot receive any messages until the person creates some space on the server. Ask them to check this.

At your suggestion I looked at one of the messages attached to the bounce. It reads: " SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:

host mx.wildblue.net [69.168.102.194]: 554 5.7.1 [P4] Message blocked due to spam content in the message."

Now this is a message I am trying to send to him. I don't have any spam in it. So what does this mean and what can I do about it?

I suggest you ask wildblue. They are the ones saying you have spam in it.

It might be as simple as you having a reply-to address set in the header. It might be that uour message consists of one image and only a few words which might look spammy to a computer. It might be their server does not like your signature. If you have a signature in Thunderbird.

In addition to Matts advice.... Does the email have an attachment ? If yes, then try to send a new Write message without the attachment. If it received ok, then clearly there is something about the attachment that is causing an issue.

When you send the email do you use the TO or Bcc field ? Some servers can dislike emails that only have Bcc and no TO field.

Do you use an anti-virus product that is attaching a load of info saying the email was scanned etc etc? If yes, then suggest you switch off scanning of outgoing mail and then create a new email and test sending.

Ask the recipient if they have inadvertantly blocked your email address.

If you send to the person via webmail account using a browser, does it still get rejected ?

Do you have another email address you can use to see if that gets rejected as well? You could get a free gmail email address.

Have you tried to see if you can use a different IP address, just in case it is your IP address being flagged?
