I have 2 eBay accounts and find that I can't have both accounts open when using two firefox windows. Can this be changed?
I use a dual monitor display on my PC and often have more than one Firefox window open. Usually I have Facebook open on one display, and eBay on the other. The problem is that I have 2 eBay accounts, and if I log into one, open a new Firefox window, and try to log into the other account, it won't work. When I log onto the second account, the first one changes to the account I just opened. Is there any way to have 2 separate accounts from the same website open in 2 separate Firefox windows?

Multifox {web link} Multifox is an extension that allows Firefox to connect to websites using different user names. Simultaneously!
SUCCESS!! Thank you, very much...
Oooops... Spoke too soon. This didn't work. Is there anything special that I need to do to make this work?
Check with its support site via the link above.
This method requires "Never Remember History" to be disabled. I always have that enabled and prefer it that way. is there any other method that will work even when "Never Remember History" is enabled?
You are in permanent Private Browsing mode if you select "Never Remember History". I don't know if the Multifox extension supports PB mode with its own separate cookie jar.
Firefox uses two independent cookie jars, one for normal mode and one for Private Browsing mode that is shared among all PB mode tabs and windows. During a PB mode session or in a PB mode window cookies are kept in memory in a separate cookie jar just like other session data is kept in memory. Cookies saved in normal mode can't be accessed as they are stored in a different cookie jar. The PB mode cookie jar is cleared when all PB mode windows and tabs are closed.
You can use an extension to get Private Browsing mode support per tab.
- Private Browsing mode tabs get a dashed underline
- You can toggle Private Browsing mode out-of- via the right-click context menu of a tab
