Firefox getting slower the longer it runs
The longer Firefox runs, the slower und more stuttering the scrolling of webpages gets. After closing and restarting, the browser works nearly without stuttering again, but after 2 or three minutes the stuttering comes again and becomes worse with every minute.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.
- Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
- Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
