Why does the green padlock and https disappear on aol mail and FB games (Zynga "Words with Friends")?

more options

When I check my mail on aol the https in the aol address disappears and so does the green padlock, indicating that it is not secure. The green padlock also disappears when I am in Facebook and try to play Words with Friends. I also keep getting pop ups after each game that are gray, ominous looking screens that in small letters says adobe flashplayer. I will not click on it as that destroyed my previous computer.

First off, you seem to have two different version of Flash installed for Firefox.

Get rid of (uninstall) the older one.
