after update to Thunderbird 45.5.1, I am receiving duplicate emails
OS WIndows 7, 64bit, I keep receiving the same emails over and over and I keep deleting the same over and over again. I have Verizon.net and have checked my POP mail account, there has been no changes. No duplicates are in my verizon.net mail account only on Thunderbird.

empty the junk/spam folder on your verizon web site.
My guess is you have a corrupt email (usually spam) that is causing the download to keep resetting over and over. I have also heard of this symptom with Nortons email scanning enabled.
