Disable slash quick find
Hi,
I am doing a 10 finger typing course online and got to the point where we use the "/" key. But everytime I press "/" the quick find opens and I can't continue typing because everything I type goes into the quick find box. How can I disable the quick find?

Hi, Would you take a look at this :
https://freeshell.de//~kaosmos/index-en.html#searchkeys
'Hope this will do the trick !
I did this:
You can also disable all the feature, setting the preference "extensions.searchhotkeys.disable_all" ("searchkeys.disable.all" for versions lower than 1.0) to true.
But it is still popping up when I press "/"
Bummer ! It was the only thing I could find that worked for some others. Just now tried to find something better, to no avail. Even setting the pref's : 'searckeys.disable.all' value to 'true' doesn't seem to work. But maybe it'll work for you ? Can't think of anything else (so sorry) ......
Couldn't let it go and guess what I just found :
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=942269
And when you scroll all the way down, you'll find this :

Thank you for trying :) but I think this goes way beyond my understanding of computers :D haha I don't even know what to do with this script.

Good question. It's a userscript you can apply to websites using one of these extensions:
- Greasemonkey - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/ (tested)
- Tampermonkey - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tampermonkey/ (not tested)
After the extensions is installed and you restart Firefox to activate it, when you go to the page for the user script, you'll get a dark green button that says Install This Script with a ? next to it. (Try to click any of the annoying ads on the page.)

If it doesn't work, let me know if I can test out the site you're using for the course to get a better idea of how to improve the script.
