And maybe check the settings I mentioned in my reply to 'oldanalog'  ?

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

What about the rest of your profile? history, bookmarks . . . .

hellohellohello, All of the posts above are correct. I am here to help find out if there is a bigger issue with the missing passwords. Can you please provide screenshots of the following pages:

  • about:support
  • Preferences (the three bar menu) > Privacy and Security > Saved Logins

Any addons that manage passwords or if you use Firefox sync is what I am looking for.

Under 'Forms & Passwords' : Have you checked 'Remember logins and passwords for sites'  ?

Under 'History' : is 'Always use private browsing mode' unckecked  ?

See screenshot.

Thanks. Found it-Three bar, Options, Privacy&Security, Saved logins. So, now, it takes 4 keystrokes to do what 2 keystrokes would do in 56 with Saved Password Manager.
