cookie controller
I used cookie controller to control persistent cookies and would toggle back and forth when I wanted to visit the site. Now that it has been removed I can no longer visit or purchase from any sites that I had blocked when cookie controller was removed from firefox.I downloaded the sorry replacement and I can't control the blocked cookies from there since they aren't even showing up for me to control. How can I get these cookies back?

You can manually change global cookie permissions on the Preferences page. This is the internal address (after pasting this to the address bar and pressing Return to load it, you can bookmark it):
about:preferences#privacy
The cookie settings are revealed when you have "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history". If you need to visit this setting often, you could keep it open in a tab.
You can adjust permissions for the currently displayed site using the Page Info dialog, Permissions panel. You can call that up using any of these:
- right-click a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Permissions
- (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info > Permissions
Scroll down to "Set Cookies" and uncheck the "Use default" box, and then select the permission you prefer. There's no Save dialog on this panel; changes are saved as you go, so you can just close it when you're done. However, you might need to reload the page to get the cookies after allowing them.
Obviously a one-button solution is easier, but I don't know if any extensions offer that right now, or whether they can offer that right now.
