I'm not getting responses to my questions. How do I add Norton Search engine to Firefox?
I updated to Quantum and have found that Norton Safe Search is no longer compatible. I want to use the Norton Search Engine, but it's not available on your options page, either. How can I get it? I've tried contacting Norton and they're at a loss, too. If I can't search with Norton or have their safe search, I'm going to switch to Google Chrome.

I had already gone through the process of enabling Norton Safe Web and Identity Safe on Firefox and a green "check" box appeared on the upper right corner of the Firefox screen, but I didn't know what it indicated. What I discovered is when I click on the green "check", a Norton pop-up window appears to allow me to search using Norton, and the links provided from the search will have the green checks next to them if they're safe. It's an extra step to do searches, which is a pain, but it makes me feel safer in browsing.

I have Norton Internet Security and yes changed. You can use this Extension for Norton Safe Web and can search from it.
There is also Norton Identity Safe
If looking for Norton Toolbar it is not on Quantum but below ver 57
Please : go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check (put a tick in the box) the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Most of this didn't make sense to me. I don't understand how the Prevent Accessibility Services will help. I already have Norton Safe Web and Identity Safe enabled on Firefox, but links provided in searches aren't marked to indicate if they're safe. I wanted to do my searches by Norton Search Engine, but can't find that in Firefox's lists.

Never mind. I just figured out how to search on Norton.

Could you share the answer in case someone else has the same question? Then you can mark your answer as the solution so it's easier for the next person to figure out. Thanks.

You might also see whether Norton is an available option on the Search panel of the Options page. Not sure if they install one, but McAfee does.
Norton Search is not on the Firefox lists for search engines.
Can you give a sample URL of a Norton search results page? Search for something that isn't personal, like firefox or puppies.
I don't understand the purpose of providing that. I can get URL links the same as a Google search, but using Norton Safe Web, there's a green check mark next to safe sites.

I wanted to see what site the add-on was using. When I check Norton's documentation, it seem to be Ask. Either:
- https://nortonsafe.search.ask.com/web?q=firefox (check mark)
- https://www.safesearch.ask.com/web?q=firefox (OK icon)
Using the URL, I thought I could create a search plugin so you could search from the address bar or search box instead of having to use the toolbar button, since that sounded like a hassle.
This is the site I was going to use to create the search plugin: http://mycroftproject.com/submitos.html
Sorry, didn't understand what you were needing. The search site is https://nortonsafe.search.ask.com/web?q=internet%20services%20golden%20co&o=APN12177&prt=SSS&ver=2.5.0.3&tpr=111&chn=store&guid=a74fdce9-6d9d-4883-cacf-eb14d9bf8ebf&doi=2018-1-9
Thanks. You can now install a search plugin for that site from this page: http://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?name=search.norton.com
I added the link per directions, then went into Search in Firefox and selected Norton Safe Search from the drop-downs, but it still isn't giving me a Norton Safe Search bar when I open a new Firefox tab or window. I restarted my computer and still nothing.
Sorry if I wasn't clear. A search engine plugin integrates with Firefox's address bar and search bars. You should see it as one of the icons you can click and you can make it the default search engine if you like. There won't be a separate bar (do you need a separate bar?).
OMGosh!!! It works! It's the same as it used to be. Just wasn't expecting that. Really appreciate your help! Thank you so much.
