Can't watch TV episodes on CBS.com
It's been about a year since I've watched a TV episode on CBS.com and I never had any problems in the past. Today I tried to watch a new episode. The first ad played but then I got a message saying "Resource format not supported. Please refresh the page and try again." Refreshing the page didn't help.
I have no problem watching episodes on ABC.com and NBC.com, only on CBS.com.
I'm running FireFox 52.7.2 (32-bit) on the esr update channel. I'm running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and Adobe Flash Player 10.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Fred,
Thank you for your suggestions, but it seems that the problem is with the CBS.com website, not with Firefox or my computer.
For many years CBS.com (like the websites of other major broadcast TV networks) had offered users the opportunity to watch recent episodes of their broadcast shows for free. I haven’t done this in over a year and in the meantime CBS.com has changed their policies. Now only subscribers to their All Access service can access the episodes. It would have been very helpful if the message I got when I tried to watch an episode had said that rather than giving me a cryptic message that implied incompatible formats.
Thank you again for your suggestions. I still love Firefox.

Make sure you are not blocking content.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi Fred,
Will mark them solved.
I should search the web for a replacement for what?

Note since you are still using the old EOL WinXP you cannot use the HTML5 player fully in Firefox (or SeaMonkey) at least not without attempting some workarounds. https://msfn.org/board/topic/175591-enable-mp4-h264-aac-html5-video-in-firefox-on-windows-xp-without-flash/
Many websites are using the HTML5 player in Firefox and not the Flash Player Plugin from Adobe to be more cross platform.
You likely get two or more red check marks on https://www.youtube.com/html5/ when all should ideally be blue.
Firefox 52.9.x ESR out on June 26 will be the last web browser really kept up to date that still runs on WinXP/Vista. Chrome/Chromium and Opera dropped support of WinXp/Vista back in April 2016.
