i want recent beta version of Thunderbird to work in background & shows new message arrival notification icon in win-10 tray. is it compatible for this. if Yes, how to do it, If No, is the team working on this, can we get this facility in future?

If it worked in previous version and is broken in 60 (with thunderbird started in safe mode) then you should file a bug report. (FWIW I'm not aware of any such regressions in version 60)

If it didn't work in previous version then I would say we are not working on it.

Under W10 Settings/Personalization/Taskbar/Notification area, 'Select which icons appear on the taskbar', do you have Thunderbird turned to On?

Plus, 'Show a tray icon' must be checked in Tools/Options/General.

Working here with W10/TB 60.
