Sometimes when I click on a link, I get a loading icon on the tab, but when it finishes it doesn't take me to the linked page; it stays on the same page so I have to click the link a second time to make it work. If it happens when opening a new tab, I get a blank tab and I have to click on the address bar and press Enter to make it work.

I'm also experiencing some other general slowness which I think might be related - pages loading slowly, search bars not showing suggestions, images/thumbnails slow to load, etc.

I've had this problem before, but I can't remember how I solved it, and I don't think it went away on its own.

REFRESH INSTRUCTIONS Hi, please try a Refresh but Note that this does more than uninstalling and re-installing does. Normal uninstalling does not remove some preferences which may have become corrupt. Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.

then

TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:

If is your Profile :

Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You may want to update to Firefox 60 first. https://support.mozilla.org/en/kb/update-firefox-latest-version

Updated to 60, things seem to be better. I'll keep a note of this information for future reference. Thanks very much.

EDIT: Sorry, spoke too soon. Will keep trying but might need further assistance.

I have created a new profile, and I still seem to be having problems. Do I need to delete the old profile?
