login to account failed
Dear support
I have recently set up an account with TB and have been able to successfully log in. My manager wants me to log into two previous accounts, one i have also successfully logged into and am able to see preivous sent emails and messages. I am struggling to login to the 2nd account, with an error message saying "login to account "....@.." failed". Despite having all the correct email infomation, password, server and IMAP information. I do not understand why it fails to log in.
Can someone please help.

Hello Toad-Hall,
I was not able to login into the browser with the given password. I was able to login with the other email account that i need to have access to.
I am thinking that i might have been qiven the wrong password, as my manager was also unable to login via the web browser.

re "login to account "....@.." failed".
Using a browser, are you able to get access to the webmail account of that email address using that password? Whilst in that webmail account, is it set up to allow IMAP access ?

Why would you want to send anyone your email password? Especially people you do not know on a public forum that have no need to know it.
Contact your email provider for help resetting a password or with accessing your email account.
If you have questions about the workings of Thunderbird start your own thread with details of your issue.
No one here is going to call you or text you. Posting your phone number and email addresses a public forum is not a great idea. Please edit your post and remove your personal info.
