I have thunderbird installed on a main PC and on a laptop. On the PC I have an account "Tony" and under that are several mail folders, including one named "Holiday"

On the laptop is an account "Tony", but no "Holiday" folder. I want to copy the "Holiday" folder from the PC to the Laptop, but I don't want to copy anything else.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Tony

Is this an IMAP account? If it is IMAP on both computers, subscribe to the Holiday folder on the laptop. Right-click the account in the Folder Pane, Subscribe, click Refresh and subscribe to Holiday.

If it's POP, select all messages with Ctrl+A, Ctrl+S to save them as eml files, then on the laptop drag the eml files from the explorer folder and drop them onto the Holiday folder in TB.

POP on both computers.

I tried that, but the messages didn't appear in Thunderbird, even though they were in the mail folder. I guess I did something wrong.

I eventually solved it by copying the holiday.mozmsgs folder, the holiday file and the holiday.msf file onto the laptop. Then everything appeared.
