So i have the new 77 ff and its a pain my backside. This popping out of the url bar is just killing me. the solution presented below did not work any others: "Firefox supports an optional style sheet file named userChrome.css that we can use to modify the toolbar area, including taming the expanding address bar. Setting up your first userChrome.css file is about a 10 minute project, so when you have time to dive in, here are some threads to check out: "

hello Paulq,

follow the step:

  • Open the Tools menu (the icon of three horizontal lines in the top right of the browser window)
  • Select Options
  • Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  • Under the Permissions section, uncheck the box next to Block pop-up windows to disable the pop-up blocker altogether.
  • Close the window.
