Using the suggested Authy app on Android. Account gets added with the QR code but then every token is reported to be invalid.

No changes made on my side but now 2FA works as expected. It was probably some back-end issue that was resolved.

hi, can you please make sure that your smartphone is set to the exact time and timezone? https://time.is

Really? Your suggestion is to check time on a smartphone? Bro, there is not even a way to change time manually. Smartphones get time from the carrier network and have been doing so for at least a decade. That's why the call them "smart" phones. Or should I try my typewriter?

what's the output for clock skew on time.is? since the generation of authentication codes is quite timing sensitive, it's the most obvious reason why the codes wouldn't work. your trust in "smart" in all honours, but problems in this area are by no means unheard of.

A TOTP code used for the Firefox account (Sync) is only valid for thirty seconds, so if the code isn't working then this means that the app is using the wrong time for generating the 6-digit TOTP code. Using a VPN also can cause issues.

You can also look at extensions and compare the generated codes.

Your clock is 0.7 seconds behind.

I know that the code only lasts 30 seconds, that's why it keeps changing. I use Authy for half a dozen other sites, including financial, and it works just fine. This is the very first time I've seen it fail in years and it's only for Firefox which I never used before, so I somehow do not believe it's the app's fault. Especially that Mozilla recommends this very app.

Hi

In the Android Settings app (under System and Date & Time), is Android on your device set to Automatic Date & Time and Automatic Timezone?
