remove gmail from Firefox

more options

When I open Firefox a tab for gmail opens every time, but cannot be closed (there is no "X" on the right side of the tab). Therefore, when browsing in other tabs, gmail is always open. How can I close it, or better yet, remove from my computer? It does not show up in the list of programs on my computer within the Control Panel.

Hi john408, does it have an unusually small tab? It could be a pinned tab. Firefox normally restores pinned tabs at startup even if you don't restore your entire session at startup. Try right-clicking the tab and seeing whether there is an option to Unpin it.
