I'm an old fart that just can't understand all the articles and how to items listed. I have just one simple need: How do I get Bookmarks in alphabetic order? Don't need categorizes, tags, or being asked if an article is helpful. All I want to know is How to get Bookmarks in alphabetic order like Internet Explorer and others do automatically? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi payphoneman, do you mean on Firefox's Bookmarks Menu (either on the top menu bar or using the optional button)?

Firefox lets you sort by name on a folder-by-folder basis, but new bookmarks will always be added at the end of the list. A convenient place to use Sort By Name is the Bookmarks Sidebar, which you can open using Ctrl+b (assuming the current website doesn't use that for something else). To sort a folder, right-click it and choose Sort By Name.

If you prefer to keep your list sorted in alphabetical order all the time, you could take a look at an add-on for that. For example, here are two that have been around for a while. I haven't tried them myself.
