Help. The Bookmarks were always shone on a left sidebar for my ready access. But all of a sudden today, they are gone and I can't get them back.

How do get my Bookmarks into a left side bar???

There is so much to read that does not apply. I get lost looking.

?????

hello walter,

indeed, the world is becoming more complicated.

and the FireFox is intended to address the complexities of technology that would otherwise take advantage of you.

but sometimes updates to the o.s. by microsot throws applications out of sync.

also, sometimes the programmers lose sight of the bigger picture which is Keep It Simple Stupid.

have you tried a "refresh" of FireFox? It should restore it back to its original state and remove any settings that were inadvertently changed.

afterwards, you can try to setup your FF as you prefer.

Holding the "CTL", "+", and "B" did give my sidebar of bookmarks back .... But

It also messed up my default view of any new tab. My God, WHY must there be so much to read at every turn with nothing that applies to any current problem. \Mozilla organization sucks. Their menu groupings are mentally deficient.

All the reading I've done today and not once have I found "CTL, "+", "B", and certainly not within any menu selection choices.

Do I now have to beg help at every other keystroke? Because now, I must struggle to get back my previous default Tab view. And who knows what I will then step in. So much for achieving any productivity today for me. But, thanks for the sidebar back

Thank you ~dbben, I did stumble and got fixed my Browser since my last post. But you helped to settle my agitation with your kind and straight talk, which acknowledged the Mozilla failings causing me frustration. And yes, I think an update bombed me. I can only hope you and others like you are in the drivers seat of this Browser project. Because, I already see Mozilla to be a most capable Browser made by people with moral views, (rare these days). I am confidant the poor overview of documentation will see much correcting in the future. Again, I like the way you said it. I am noting your suggestion for my next time. Thank you.

cor-el, thank you but I have never been a Linux user, therefore I avoid keystroke codes to do any tasks. My mind does not work that way.

It is "Menu Navigation" or nothing. That recognition as a popular preference was the Genius of Bill Gates and the key to his success.

I suggest Mozilla immulate his belief.
