Sometimes a text in Firefox looks corrupted

Sometimes some texts in Firefox looks corrupted (see screnshot) Seems that it is a font issue because I can copy corrupted text and it is ok in buffer. Other browsers display same pages correctly.

This can be caused by a corrupted font or a font that Firefox can't access.

You can right-click and select "Inspect" to open the builtin Inspector with this element selected.

You can check in the Rules tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font-family is used for selected text. You can check in the Font tab in the right panel in the Inspector what font is actually used because Firefox might be using a different font than specified by the website.

Changing the font-family in-use to rectify this problem (Garbled text or Corrupted text) has NOT worked for me. FFv92 (64bit) and other previous versions have acted in similar fashion (sum versions less prone). In-situ remedy is to change the page zoom-level just a bit... meaning that the the corruption may either be related to some rogue add-in. Same page (even hovering over your FF log-in name, results in corrupted text on the pop-up menu but NOT all text. Ctrl+Shift+C/F12 does not show any anomalies and zoom+/- (to corrupt/un-corrupt) does not change the inspected element ('FFunky' text field) details.

Hi Vadik, it looks like Arial regular is okay in your screenshot but Arial Bold has a problem (see attached screenshot). In another thread, a user found that one of his font files for Arial was changed and the substitute file needed to be removed. You could review that thread for reference on how he investigated the problem: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1344141

Hi pseudoid, you normally do not need to create rules to substitute font families yourself, except in rare cases like Helvetica Neue that look awful in Firefox but you don't want to remove them from your system. Perhaps you should start a new thread for your issue:
